What if ONE family held a city hostage?

Neighbors intimidate neighbors.  Cops clash with revolutionaries.  Families are torn apart, and two groups - both seeking justice and order - destroy all prospects of peace on Larchwood Avenue.

Inspired by actual events, BROTHERLY LOVE is an emotionally charged drama centered on two brothers who have their loyalties tested as they seek separate paths toward empowerment.

Set against the backdrop of the tempestuous social and political climate of Philadelphia in the 70's, back-to-nature revolutionaries rebel against the system - turning the press, courts, and streets into fields of battle.

Brothers Clarence and Darnell Boyd attend an activist rally stormed by Deputy Mancuso, who’s fast tracking his way through a notoriously brutal police department.  The perplexed brothers are entangled by warring political propaganda as controversy explodes in Hamilton Square - a diverse, liberal section of West Philadelphia teeming with hippies, professors, and working-class black people.

With Boyd in Vietnam, Darnell seemingly finds redemption in the words of the dread-locked Sherman, an illiterate handyman and self-proclaimed prophet.  Together they found the ONE organization.  Their "natural law" rhetoric describes a world poisoned by man and mystifies a swelling group of revolutionaries.  Wielding firearms and feasting on raw meat, the group preaches of societal ills that garner mixed responses from the neighbors who frequent their fruit cart and car wash.

Returning from war, two families greet Boyd – his wife and son, and Darnell’s ONE organization.  ONE has set up shop across the street, and as tension mounts along Larchwood Avenue, Boyd is torn between allegiance to family and community.  The intensifying situation torments Boyd and frays his marriage.  Committed to protecting his wife, son, and his community, Boyd is also sympathetic to his brother Darnell and understanding of his movement.

The factions clash when Mayor Mancuso, who’s been mercilessly plagued by the ONE organization, orders a blockade of the ONE compound.  Crowds and press members gape as the siege escalates into an armed standoff, which casts a vast, ominous shadow on Boyd and the city.

Amid a barrage of bullets and bulldozers, Boyd must choose between conflicting loyalties as a deadly confrontation erupts.
